Summary[]
When Des buys the contents of an unclaimed storage locker, he can only imagine the possibilities of what’s inside – but what he and Jake actually find there neither could have dreamed up. Jake and Des cross paths with Toronto cop Bill Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) on a strange kidnapping case, but Jake’s not sure this mainland cop is telling them the whole truth. Sloan’s bid to make some money doesn’t go as planned and the consequences could prove costly. Leslie shoulders the weight of new responsibility. Mal avoids unwanted family obligations and Des goes to new lengths in a tricky situation.

- Bill Murdoch is the descendant of William Murdoch from Murdoch Mysteries, with both characters being played by Yannick Bisson.
- This is the second of the two CBC crossover episodes between Murdoch Mysteries and Republic of Doyle. The first was in Republic of Murdoch which featured Jake's grandfather, Jacob Doyle (played by Hawco), coming to Toronto in search of a murderer, as well as parts of a pirate's treasure map. Both episodes climax in the same location with the suspect dangling over a cliff edge, and subsequently dropping their treasure. At the end of RoD episode, Murdoch asks Doyle "Is it just me, or does it feel like we've done this before?" To which Doyle responds, "I don't know. Maybe in another life, bud.
